I am currently the Research Coordinator for the Chandler and Martin labs at UGA. As an avian ecologist, I have been interested in all aspects of bird biology, but have been mostly interested in habitat preferences and migration of songbirds and raptors.

Prior to working for UGA, I worked as a Natural Resource Extension Associate for Purdue University where I created educational videos on woodland stewardship. I received my M.S. degree in Biology from Ball State University in July 2018. My thesis examined habitat use of fledgling Cerulean Warblers, and roost site characteristics of adult male Cerulean Warblers. I also studied their migrations using light-level geolocators.

Prior to graduate school, I completed an A.S. in Wildlife Technology and a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at Penn State DuBois, and Penn State University Park, respectively.

Before starting my M.S., I spent a couple summers working for the USDA Forest Service in the Allegheny National Forest where I was a technician on different songbird research projects. One project examined nest success at shallow gas/oil wells. Another project examined post-breeding season occurrences of forest-interior songbirds in clearcuts. I also worked on a project studying migrations of Cerulean Warblers and Scarlet Tanagers, along with the habitat use of fledgling Cerulean Warblers.
