Mike is a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at the Joseph W. Jones Ecological Research Center working with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Chandler Applied Ecology Lab, and the UGA Deer Lab on a Florida Panther and white-tailed deer project on Big Cypress National Preserve and the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge.  Mike’s research interests include predator-prey ecology and the influence of disturbance regimes on food web dynamics. Specifically, Mike focuses on predator-prey behavioral interaction and the non-consumptive effects of those interactions on prey population, community and ecosystem processes.  Mike completed his Ph.D. at the University of Georgia in 2014 under the advisement of Dr. Robert J. Warren and Dr. L. Mike Conner studying white-tailed deer, coyotes, and the ecology of fear in a longleaf pine savanna in Southwestern Georgia.
